Service Description
Recommended for ages 6-9 It's a habitat scavenger hunt! Discover the diversity and creativity of animal homes and habitats. From high to low and from obvious to hidden, animal homes can be unique and even gravity-defying. Learn about how animals build homes to meet their particular needs. Observe and discuss how animals use materials from their environment to build their homes while collecting the same natural materials to create your own version of an insect hotel or small bird/animal place of refuge. Children with their own binoculars are encouraged to bring them. All materials provided by SOAR. Participants and parents are responsible for appropriate footwear and clothing. The short nature walk occurs on flat ground; we will be walking through some brush and grass. It is recommended that you apply bug spray/deterrent before the event and wear appropriate sunscreen. Water is recommended.
